First, good news: The dreaded basketball sounds of "bounce, bounce, bounce, sneaker squeak, sneaker squeak, bounce, bounce, whistle, whistle, bounce, bounce, bounce, BUZZzzzzzz" are greatly diminished in a carpeted room.
Ha ha ha ... yes the basketball court at this venue, is carpeted!
The "muffled bounce, muffled bounce, muffled bounce, (no sneaker squeaking), muffled bounce, muffled bounce, whistle, whistle, muffled bounce, muffled bounce, muffled bounce, BUZZzzzzzz" was remarkably more tolerable.
Callia and Nick are really enjoying the long fun days with their classmates ... and that is a wonderful thing to watch.
The bad news: Three long days of this though, has been a bit much for me. Especially on the heels of Christmas prep, Christmas, post Christmas visit with the family, and simultaneously wrapping up a tremendous work project, I'm feeling a bit overextended. Since there was no available WiFi at the tournament, I couldn't work remotely on my laptop - even in between my kids' participation. (wah.)
I'd much rather be home with Kevin, who is only home for a short time from college.
Al's working, so it's all me.
Every moment that I'm not sleeping is consumed with some type of obligatory task. (Whine, whine, bitch, whine, whine.)
Finally, the great news: Our Mustangs won the whole thing - taking first place in the Christmas tournament.
